Recycler Specification Checklist: Compare Glass, Percs & Fit

A recycler's name is only the starting point. For a useful comparison, record the exact model, its listed perc or downstem, the included accessory, and the connection details you still need to confirm. This reference combines three IC Glass examples with a reusable worksheet for collectors and smoke shop teams.

Reference checked: September 12, 2026. Product examples below reflect the linked listings. They are a specification comparison, not a laboratory test or a ranking of filtration, cooling, or airflow.

Three recycler designs at a glance

Manufacturer-listed features and details to confirm
Model Listed construction and accessory Confirm before choosing accessories
Neon Recycler Matrix perc; DNA recycling function; auto spinner IC banger. The description does not specify the banger's joint size or angle. Ask for both for your selected variant.
6-Inch Dichroic Diamond Recycler Disc perc; cyclone recycler; dichroic side accent; 14mm flower bowl with diamond-shaped insert. The listed accessory is a flower bowl. Do not assume a banger is included or that another accessory will fit without confirmation.
9-Inch Double Barrel Recycler Six-slit downstem; double recycling function; 14mm auto spinner banger. The description specifies 14mm but not joint gender or accessory angle. Confirm those details for a replacement.

Read each specification separately

Perc or downstem: Copy the exact listed term. In these examples, matrix perc, disc perc, and six-slit downstem identify different listed construction features. Recording them separately avoids treating every recycler as the same design.

Recycling description: Record the manufacturer's wording in its own field. A product may list both a matrix perc and a DNA recycling function. Combining those into one label makes comparisons harder.

Included accessory: Write down what ships with the selected item. A photograph or a broad category such as “recycler” is not a substitute for the package contents. A listing that specifies a flower bowl should not be recorded as including a banger.

Connection: Keep size, joint gender, and accessory angle as separate entries. If the page gives only one of these, mark the others “confirm.” An incomplete specification should stay incomplete until the seller verifies it.

Copyable comparison worksheet

Complete one copy for each piece you are considering. Add the source link beside the fact so you can check it again when selecting a variant or ordering a replacement.

A useful question to send before ordering

I'm comparing this exact model and variant: [product link and variant]. Please confirm the joint size, joint gender, accessory angle, and what is included. Does [replacement accessory link] fit this piece? Please also point me to the product-specific cleaning instructions.

What this comparison can tell you

The worksheet helps you compare documented construction and package contents, identify missing information, and keep a record for future accessory questions. It does not establish which piece has less draw resistance, better cooling, greater durability, or a particular filtration efficiency. Those conclusions require evidence beyond the feature names in a product listing.

Keep your completed worksheet with the model information. When a listing or variant changes, update the relevant entry instead of assuming the old specification still applies.
